Free Medical Transcription Softwares
We have been trying to find all the free medical transcription softwares on the Internet. Thus we were able to find out free voice file players, free text expanders, AutoCorrect migration utility, online free typing tutors etc. Moreover, we made a custom free medical spell checker ourselves using the online free resources of medical words.
Free desktop medical dictionary
In our pursuit for free medical dictionaries, we were able to find XTerm Medical Dictionary. It can be installed on your system. This free medical dictionary has an ‘update mode.’ It updates the recent medical terms from its parent site. However, the glossary seems to be limited.
Free medical dictionary softwares
Another interesting finding was Free Medical Dictionary Software. However, it needs an active Internet connection. You cannot use it offline. Though it seems to be up-to-date, the ads seem to be annoying. This dictionary doesn’t permit any wild-card search.
The third one was a Medical Dictionary Software. Rather than truly to be a dictionary with definitions, it seemed to be a spell checker.

Meanwhile, one of our readers, gspal, brought to my notice that somebody has put up together some free medical transcription softwares. These include various medical dictionaries, English dictionaries, spell checker, drug reference, voice players, text expanders, FTP software, typing tutor etc.
I didn’t try any of the medical transcription utilities listed there. I already bought them offline. Hence before you try with those free medical transcription reference materials, find out if they have valid licenses. Moreover, ensure that they are the current versions.
In short, it seems to be a one-stop spot for free medical transcription softwares. Find if everything is licensed and is in order in that medical transcription resources center. Choose the appropriate medical transcription software that you need and download. Voila.
